Stelle di Calabria Folk Dancers is an Italian Canadian cultural group based in Winnipeg, dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich folk traditions of Southern Italy. Founded in September 2022, we bring the vibrant spirit of Southern Italy to life through music, dance, and storytelling—right here in our local community.
Our group is a passionate team of Italian Canadians, proud of our Italian roots and eager to keep our heritage alive for future generations. We specialize in traditional dances such as the tarantella and other regional styles, performing in authentic costumes that reflect the color, history, and heart of Italian life.
We are a multigenerational famiglia, with dancers ranging in age from 3 to over 60. Whether we’re performing at festivals, cultural events, weddings, or community gatherings, we aim to share joy, unity, and a deep appreciation for our roots through every step we take.
